38/70 Winchester Center Fire
This Case was introduced in 1894 for the Winchester Model 1886 lever action rifle. This round was very short lived. Winchester designed this as a black powder round with the advent of the introduction of smokeless powder. Rifles in this caliber are very scarce and very Collectable. Factory ammunition was also shot lived.
This cartridge was suitable for Most north american game. Bullet diameter was .375. The case is a shot shoulder Bottleneck and has a long taper
