The .458×2-inch American is a straight, belted, .458 caliber big bore cartridge designed by Frank Barnes. It is based on the .458 Winchester Magnum or other Standard belted magnum brass shortened to 2-inch. This case is designed for standard length bolt action rifles. suitable for a wide variety of 45 caliber bullet from jacketed to cast.
