6.5 ‘K” Magnum

The 1950’s ushered in “ the Golden Age of Wildcating “. With the influx of surplus military rifles after WWII, shooters, loaders and hunters were hard @ work trying to come up with an abundance of custom Wildcat Cartridges.

The 6.5 “K” Mag was one of them. We have encountered several rifles with this designation on the barrel. This case is a short belted case that will perform well in standard length actions. This case takes a standard .264 bullet and would be suitable for Varmint long range hunting . With a variety of bullet weights, this cases can be adaptable for a wide range of hunting

With the introduction of the 6.5 Remington Magnum , many of these smaller caliber wildcats fell out of favor and were no longer made
