9.5x47 Rimmed MB Target ( Martini MB73)

The 9.5x47R was a german target cartridge introduced in the 1880.s. At that time there was no shortages of variations with in this group. Various length, bullets weight and cartridge. In WB Dixons Book “European Cartridges “ , he lists eight varieties. One of the most popular was the Martini Version. This cartridge was used in predominantly single shot rifles, The Martini action and well as the Mauser M71 single shot were used.

Ballistically they are in the same class as the 40/60 Winchester and the 44/40 cartridge.
