45-120 Sharps Straight 3¼”

The 45 -3¼ (45-120) Sharps Straight was introduced In appox 1879-84 . The strange thing with this cases , There is no current evidence that the Sharps Rifle Company produced rifles for this . It came in two loadings 45-120 and 45-125. The cartridge was designed as a buffalo rifle cartridge but by that time of introduction , buffalo hunting was basically over.

This caliber later became a favorite with the target shooting . It is now again become very accepted with shooters and match shooters as well.
